Seawater is a dark green with a blue core – the colour of coastal water where weed mixes with sand. It sits on the border between green and turquoise, which is exactly what makes it useful: it bridges both families without belonging to either.

Frequently asked questions

How do I paint weed on stone?
Irregular patches of Seawater in the recesses, a lighter green dry-brushed over them, and gloss varnish only on the wet areas. Weed grows where water sits – not across the whole surface.

Is it a green or a turquoise?
Formally a turquoise, in practice a dark sea green. In a ladder, use it as the bridge between both families.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
