Stone Green is a muted light green with a grey cast – the colour of lichen on stone. It is a calm, dusty green that never draws attention on a figure, which is exactly what makes it so good for cloth and natural surfaces.

How do I paint lichen on stone?
Dry-brush Stone Green onto the edges and outcrops only, plus a few irregular patches. Lichen grows where damp collects – never evenly.
How does it differ from Rotten Green?
Stone Green is darker and more saturated, Rotten Green paler and nearly white. Stone Green is a mid tone, Rotten Green a highlight.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
