Zombie Green is an almost-white green – so pale it barely separates from white on the palette, yet on a figure it changes the character of skin instantly. It is the highlight colour of undead ladders: on a green zombie, a drowned corpse or a ghost it gives the unhealthy paleness that white cannot.

What it is good for on miniatures
- Highlights on undead skin – the top step of a zombie ladder instead of white.
- Ghosts and spectres – with white and Fog Grey it makes cold translucent flesh.
- Sick and mouldy skin – glazed over a flesh tone it adds an unhealthy cast at once.
- Glow effects – green light from spells and poison bottles.
What to combine it with
Build shadows with Stone Green and Rotten Green, transitions and highlights with White.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use it as a zombie base coat?
You can, but it will be too light. Better to base with Rotten Flesh or Zombie Skin and keep Zombie Green for highlights.
How do I make a glow with it?
Thin it and lay several glazes around the light source, then touch the core with white. The trick is to let the green fade outwards rather than giving it a hard edge.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
