What to combine it with

Build shadows with Dark Sea Blue and Ocean Blue, transitions and highlights with Light Blue and Dark Turquoise.

Frequently asked questions

How do I paint a rough sea?
Lighter on the wave crests, Storm Blue in the troughs, white foam only where a wave breaks, and gloss varnish at the end. Foam belongs where the wave breaks – not across the whole surface.

Can I use it as a general cold shade?
Yes, on both green and blue areas it works very well. Thinned into a glaze it cools any tone without dirtying it.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
