Turquoise is a saturated mid turquoise – exactly halfway between blue and green. It is a colour that draws the eye on a figure, and the core tone of the whole turquoise ladder from which you build in both directions.

How do I build a turquoise ladder?
Base with Turquoise, shade with Dark Turquoise and Dark Sea Blue, highlight with Light Turquoise and Verdigris. Turquoise takes strong contrast, so do not stop at one step.
Does it cover well?
Moderately. Over a dark base expect two to three coats – turquoise pigments are not the most opaque.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
