Vanilla is a pale, soft yellow that works above all as a highlight. Instead of lightening a yellow with white and losing saturation, you step through Vanilla and the ladder stays warm right to the top. It covers well even in a thin coat.

What is the difference between Vanilla and Ice Yellow?
Vanilla is a touch paler and more neutral, Ice Yellow has a stronger golden cast. Use Vanilla to highlight whites and creams, Ice Yellow to highlight golds.
Can I use it as a cloth colour on its own?
Yes. On pale robes it reads as unbleached linen – shade it with an ochre and draw the edges up with Ivory.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
