Still Water is a liquid rather than a gel – it levels itself into a perfectly flat surface even over uneven ground. That is precisely what a gel cannot do: a pond, a lake or a flooded crater that reads as glass once cured. Apply it in 1 to 2 mm layers and build depth by repeating, not by pouring one thick dose. On a non-porous surface such as glass it can be peeled off once dry and cut to shape.

What it is good for
- A pond, lake or well on a diorama base
- A flooded crater or a water-filled track rut
- A clear layer of water over a painted bottom with stones
- A pre-made water sheet cast on glass and cut to shape
What to combine it with
Paint the bottom before you pour – you cannot reach it afterwards. Blend the edges with Water Gel Transparent so the transition is not a hard line. Add small pools beside the pond with Puddles and build the banks from Terrains Wet Ground. For deep water in a single pour, two-part Resin Water is the better choice.
FAQ
Why did the surface drop as it dried?
That is normal – the product contains water that evaporates, and the volume shrinks by roughly a fifth. Plan for it and add another layer once the first is fully dry.
Can Still Water be tinted?
Yes, with acrylic paint, drop by drop. A drop of dark green suits a forest pond, a drop of blue a mountain lake – but use less than you think, colour multiplies through the layer.
How do I clean my tools?
Water, as long as the material is still wet. Rinse the pot and the brush right after use.
Do I have to dam the base?
Yes. The liquid is self-levelling and will find every gap. Seal the edges with modelling clay or masking tape before pouring.
