What to combine it with
Pull the wave shapes with a spatula while the gel is still wet, then add crests with Water Foam or Water Gel Effects. For warmer, lighter sea use Water Gel Pacific Blue, for the shallows near the shore Water Gel Transparent. Build the sandy shoreline from Terrains Beach Sand.
FAQ
How do I get a sense of depth?
Paint a gradient underneath – almost black in the middle, lighter blue-green towards the shore. The gel is semi-transparent and that gradient shows through.
How far does it go on an A5 surface?
At roughly 2 mm thickness, 250 ml covers about two such areas. Thicker layers in one go are a false economy – they dry unevenly.
How do I clean my tools?
Water, as long as the gel is still wet. Rinse the spatula and the old brush right after use – cured acrylic gel will not come off.
Does it stick to resin and plastic?
Yes, it holds on resin, plastic, plaster and painted wood. The surface has to be clean and grease-free or the gel will lift at the edges.
