What to combine it with
Paint the army's vehicles from the North-West Europe 1941-44 set or the Africa set. Add leather straps and buckles with Leather and Buckles, and skin with Flesh and Skin Colors.
FAQ
How is the Denison pattern painted?
Lay the base flat, then large irregular patches of Gunship Green and smaller Red Brown over them. The patches have soft edges – the pattern was printed onto the cloth, so it lacks the hard edges of Splittermuster.
What is the light sand shade for?
Fading and highlights. British battledress bleached noticeably in the sun – adding British Light Sand to the base gives a uniform after months in the field.
Can the paints be bought individually?
Yes. These are standard shades from the AK 3rd Generation range in 17 ml bottles, so when one runs out you only replace that one.
Can they be airbrushed?
Yes. Thinned with 3rd Generation thinner they pass through a 0.2 mm nozzle as easily as lacquer paints. Neat, they are meant for brushwork.
