Light Golden Flesh is a light flesh tone with golden warmth. It is the highlight point of most skin ladders – where white would freeze the complexion, this colour keeps a healthy warmth. On golden and tanned skin types it is the natural top tone.

What it is good for on miniatures

  • Golden complexions – a base coat for Mediterranean and southern skin types.

Frequently asked questions

How do I build a simple skin ladder?
Base with Neutral Flesh, shade with Tanned Flesh and Dark Skin, highlight through Elf Skin and Light Golden Flesh. Three steps up covers most figures.

Why not highlight skin with white?
White pulls the warmth out of skin and the result looks like a statue. Flesh highlights have to stay warm even when they are very light.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
