What to combine it with
Redder, coarser sand comes from Terrains Sandy Desert – together the two give the desert depth. Coastal sand is handled by Terrains Beach Sand. Settle dust with pigments from the Pigments category and crack the ground with Light and Dry Crackle Effects.

Can the cured surface be sanded?
Yes, and it is the recommended approach. Fine abrasive paper smooths the dune crest and exposes a lighter tone at the same time – natural highlights without painting.
How does it differ from Sandy Desert?
Desert Sand is finer and lighter, Sandy Desert is coarser and redder. A convincing desert wants both – fine sand on the flats, coarser material on windward faces and edges.
How do I clean my tools?
Water, as long as the paste is still wet. Rinse the spatula and the old brush right after use – cured acrylic paste will not come off.
Can the paste be thinned?
Yes, with water or acrylic thinner if you need it to flow better. Thinning costs it some shape retention, so go easy.
