Without white foam even the best water surface reads as glass. Water Foam is a thick white paste that holds its shape vertically, so it can be lifted into a crest, drawn into a wake behind a hull or pushed into spray against a rock. Apply it with an old brush or a toothpick; once dry it stays matt white – exactly how real foam looks.

What it is good for
- Wave crests and spray where water hits rock

What to combine it with
Build the wave shape first with Water Gel Effects and add foam to the finished crest – not the other way round. Use Water Gel Atlantic Blue or Water Gel Pacific Blue for the surrounding water, and build the beach from Terrains Beach Sand.
FAQ
Why did my foam go yellow?
Yellowing comes from varnish or glue underneath, not from the paste itself. Apply Water Foam to a fully cured surface and do not coat it with gloss varnish.
How do I get fine foam instead of lumps?
Stipple with the tip of an old brush, do not drag it. Build two or three thin layers – a thick one gives a grainy surface that reads as snow at scale.
How do I clean my tools?
Water, as long as the paste is still wet. Rinse the spatula and the old brush right after use – cured acrylic paste will not come off.
Does it stick to resin and plastic?
Yes, it holds on resin, plastic, plaster and painted wood. The surface has to be clean and grease-free or the paste will lift at the edges.
