FAQ
Why does red so often turn pink on a miniature?
Because a thin layer of red over white is, in effect, pink. Quick Gen solves it with saturation – Crimson Red carries enough pigment to stay red in a single coat. Thin it down and the pink cast comes back.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
