Which red should I use on armour – Space Red or Crimson Red?
Space Red for large armour, because the brick tone keeps big panels readable. Save Crimson Red for cloth and heraldry, where the red should be rich and almost wine-like.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
