Demon Purple is the darkest purple in the range – deep, almost ink-like, and distinctly warmer than Necromancer Purple. On a model it works as both colour and shadow, which makes it the shade to reach for when black would be too harsh.

FAQ
When should I use Demon Purple instead of black?
Whenever the shadow should stay coloured. Black kills the hue underneath it; Demon Purple darkens it and pushes it towards violet – on cloaks, wings and skin that reads far more alive.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
