FAQ
How do I use it for sand?
Paint the base white, apply Desert Yellow and drybrush the raised areas with Bone Brown once dry. Drop Camel Brown into the hollows if you want the sand to look damp.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
