How do I add dust to a vehicle with it?
Thin it with medium and apply to the lower areas, under the fenders and around the hatches. Dust settles where the rain does not reach and where it is kicked up from the ground – not on the top surfaces.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
