FAQ
Is one coat enough for a face?
For tabletop, yes. To push a face further, let it dry and add Reddish Flesh to the cheeks, ears and nose, plus a white dot in the eye – the face reads alive with no blending at all.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
