Light Magenta is a saturated bright magenta – one of those colours that creates a focal point on a figure instantly. As a mixing colour it is irreplaceable: with blue it gives a clean violet, with red a crimson, and in both cases without going grey.

Why mix violet from magenta rather than red?
Red contains a yellow component that dirties a mix with blue. Magenta contains none, so the resulting violet stays clean and saturated.
Can I use it to shade pink?
Yes, it is the best shade for the whole pink family. A brown or black shade would kill a pink instantly.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
