FAQ
How do I get a lighter transition out of it?
Thin it with medium and lay two or three thin coats instead of one. The dark Quick Gen shades are saturated enough that, neat, they jump straight to maximum and the transition disappears.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
