FAQ
How do I paint a ghost that looks see-through?
Apply Spectral Green over white primer at the lower part of the model only and thin it progressively with medium as you go up, until almost bare white remains. The eye reads that fade as transparency.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
