They work well together: Pink Flesh, Dwarf Flesh, AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml for thinning, AK Quick Gen Special Brush.
How do I keep dark skin from looking flat?
Lay Dark Flesh over white primer and, once dry, drybrush Dwarf Flesh onto the forehead, nose and cheekbones. Dark skin needs more light, not more shadow – the sheen on raised areas is what makes it live.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
