Between mud splatter and a continuous layer of terrain sits one more state: wet soil built up under a vehicle that will not wash off. Wet Ground in the small pot does exactly that – build-up rather than droplets. The consistency is slightly thicker than wet mud, so it holds on a vertical face and in the corner between wheel and fender.

Add splatter on top with Splatter Effects Wet Mud and the ground under the model with Terrains Wet Ground or Terrains Muddy Ground. Pick out the wet sheen with spot varnish and pour puddles with Puddles.
How does it differ from Terrains Wet Ground?
Terrains Wet Ground is a 250 ml paste for terrain; this is a 100 ml texture for the model. The tones are related, so used together they keep the scene unified.
How do I tie a model to its base?
Apply the same material to the underside of the model and to the terrain around it. A shared deposit hides the join between figure and base better than anything else.
How do I clean my tools?
Water, as long as the material is still wet. Rinse the brush right after use – use an old brush for this, not a good detail one.
Can the texture be thinned?
Yes, with water or acrylic thinner. A thinner mix gives finer splatter, a thicker one holds the shape of the build-up.
