Splatter is what separates a model that has been somewhere from a model that sat in a workshop. Wet Mud has its consistency tuned for exactly that – neither runny nor stiff, so it can be flicked off a brush against a toothpick or blown on with airflow from an airbrush. The dark tone suits fresh mud under fenders and along the lower hull.

How do I get splatter rather than dots?
Load an old brush, hold it over the model and tap it against a toothpick or your finger. Distance decides: the closer you are, the larger and sparser the droplets.
Can it be airbrushed?
Yes, either by blowing air across a loaded brush or thinned in the airbrush at low pressure. Use a 0.4 mm nozzle or larger, otherwise it clogs.
How do I clean my tools?
Water, as long as the material is still wet. Rinse the brush right after use – use an old brush for splatter, not a good detail one.
Can the texture be thinned?
Yes, with water or acrylic thinner. With splatter, thinning is the main control – a thinner mix gives smaller, sharper droplets.
