Ogre Green is a dark muted green with a mossy character – earthy and organic. On the skin of ogres, trolls and woodland creatures it looks natural because it lacks the toxic cast of the saturated greens. On bases it serves as the dark tone of vegetation.

How do I paint troll skin?
Base with Ogre Green, shade the folds with a brown and highlight with Goblin Green and Stone Green. Add warm patches on warts, scars and thick hide – a uniform green reads as rubber.

What do I highlight it with?
Goblin Green or Mystic Green. Yellow would make the skin toxic and white would cool it – muted greens work better.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
