Can I use it for washes straight from the bottle?
Yes – the large belly is exactly what a wash needs. Just wick off the excess on a tissue before touching the model, or it will pool.
Does a big brush ruin fine detail?
Only if you press. Held lightly, a size 2 with a good point can still outline a panel – the load simply lasts longer.
How do I clean an AK synthetic brush?
Rinse it in clean water – or the matching thinner for enamels and oils – before the paint sets, work brush soap into the bristles with your fingers, reshape the tip and let it dry point-up. Never leave a brush standing in a jar. The cleaners are in thinners and cleaners.
Synthetic or Kolinsky sable?
Synthetic fibre is springier, cheaper and completely indifferent to harsh thinners, so it is the right choice for varnish, enamels, oils, pigments and every abrasive technique.
