FAQ
How do I get moonlight onto the cloak?
Once dry, drybrush the edges and the top of the folds with Winter Grey or Ice Blue. Cold light over dark blue is the classic night effect and it builds quickly over a contrast base.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
