Thanatos Grey is a mid-light grey with a soft violet cast. It reads as a shadow even when applied as a base coat – which is exactly why it suits undead, shrouds and anything meant to feel cold and lifeless.

How does it differ from Misty Grey?
Thanatos Grey is lighter and pinker, Misty Grey darker and bluer. Use Thanatos Grey for undead skin and Misty Grey for cold stone.
Can I use it as a glaze on skin?
Yes. Heavily thinned it drains the warmth out of any complexion at once – it is the fastest way to turn a living figure into a dead one.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
