FAQ
How do I turn it into water on a base?
Paint the bottom of the base white or sand-coloured, then lay a thin coat of Turquoise Blue – the deeper spots darken by themselves. Once dry, pour clear resin or gloss varnish over the surface.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
