How do I keep painted grass from looking flat?
Cover the whole tuft with Leaf Green, then touch Bile Yellow onto the tips of the blades only. The gap between the darker root and the lighter tip is what gives vegetation depth.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
